CHD ART
MAKER
A technical design studio dedicated to contemporary creation.
For more than twenty-five years, we have supported artists, architects, institutions, and public and private project owners in the production of artworks and artistic or architectural installations.
Co-founded in 2001 by Christian Hubert-Delisle and Bénédicte Baqué, CHD ART MAKER is now led by a core team associating the founders with Adrien Gorris, supported by a technical team and a network of specialised partners.

Seeing the artwork as a whole, then sculpting every detail.
This vision guides both our upstream studies and our workshop practice. We analyse the intention, the site, the uses and the constraints to ensure coherence between design, fabrication and installation.
Our approach is based on precise dialogue and a continuous project process: technical and budget feasibility studies, modelling, testing, prototyping and pre- assemblies, all the way through to fabrication.
This method enables us to support project owners in defining and delivering projects that integrate art within architecture, public space or exhibition contexts, including long-term initiatives.

Based in Montpellier, our studio–workshop brings together two complementary spaces: a studio dedicated to studies, exchanges, design and model-making, and a workshop comprising a composites and resins laboratory, metal and wood areas, a finishing zone and a modular assembly platform.
We fabricate artworks on site, carry out pre-assemblies, adjustments, validations and material tests.
The studio–workshop forms the core of our practice, where projects are developed in both their conceptual and technical dimensions.
In Paris, an established presence strengthens our proximity to artists, institutions and project owners, facilitating exchanges, site visits and study phases.
CHD ART MAKER operates in france and around the world.
Experience gained in the United States, Europe and Asia has strengthened our ability to adapt to diverse technical and cultural contexts and to support projects directly on the ground, whatever the constraints.
In Occitanie, we contribute to the conservation and enhancement of contemporary art heritage and support the integration of artworks in public spaces.
We also work with local authorities, developers and operators, advising them on development strategies integrating art into their environment, particularly through schemes dedicated to public art.

Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) — France's Living Heritage Label

Labelled Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV – France’s Living Heritage Label) since 2018 and renewed in 2025, our workshop upholds a vision of “making” in which the manual intelligence, artistic sensitivity and technical precision come together in the service of demanding projects. This label distinguishes excellence in French savoir-faire and a long-term commitment based on material expertise, process quality and attentive, responsible fabrication.
